TR Group, Proudly Supporting the Teams & Businesses in the Infrastructure Industry

This week, our Auckland team made their way to the Pukekohe Showgrounds, to support this year’s Annual Connection Conference.

Held over three days, the event brings together line mechanics, cable jointers, apprentices, trainees and industry stakeholders from across New Zealand to showcase skills, share knowledge and celebrate the Energy Industry. During the first two days, we were happy to take part in a school activity, where students were given the chance to operate one of our crane trucks for themselves as they put their accuracy to the test in a supervised game.

For us, supporting Annual Connection is about recognising the skill, dedication and hard work that goes into keeping New Zealand connected. It is always impressive to see competitors putting their abilities to the test, while businesses from across the industry come together to connect, learn and support one another.

It is also a great opportunity for us to catch up with customers and industry partners who we have worked with and built strong relationships with over the years. We’ve enjoyed spending time catching up with the teams from Northpower, Downer, Independent Line Services (ILS), MainPower, and Top Energy, cheering on their teams during the various competitions that took place.

A highlight during the week was seeing our vehicles in action. We have supported New Zealand's lines sector by providing specialist vehicles designed to meet the demands of the job. From line trucks and service vehicles through to traffic management and support vehicles, our fleet helps contractors and network operators get the equipment they need, when they need it.

Annual Connection is just one of the many events we’re proud to be involved with across the transport & infrastructure industries. Earlier this year, we hosted members of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport New Zealand for an evening showcasing sustainable transport solutions. We also joined EROAD Fleet Day in July for an action packed few days and, more recently, attended the Industry Connect event with Unitec, where aspiring students had the opportunity to get up close with one of our hydrogen trucks.

Whether we’re supporting industry competitions, sharing the latest transport solutions or helping inspire the next generation, these events give us the opportunity to connect with the people and businesses that keep New Zealand moving.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, took part in the activities or helped bring Annual Connection together. We’ve had a fantastic few days in Pukekohe and are proud to continue supporting the people and businesses working across the Lines industry.
