Doing our part to support Taskforce Kiwi

Disaster relief is a big job and we’re proud to provide ongoing support to Taskforce Kiwi’s efforts with vehicles for the past few years.

We first provided vehicles to aid with clean-up efforts following the second Port Hills wildfire in February 2024. Since then we’ve worked with Taskforce Kiwi following the 2024 Loburn wildfire, the 2025 Mangawhai tornado, the 2025 Tasman floods and, most recently, the flooding in Northland in January.

For TFK’s most recent Northland deployment we provided a 4x2 Crewcab tipper truck, which really helped their team’s ability to shift large amounts of flood debris, including household items, construction material, and silt. When it comes to debris clearance their teams always work to not only clear debris from homes and properties, but also to dispose of it off site, ensuring there is one less job for impacted communities to deal with.

One of our values at TR Group is care, we believe in doing what’s right, for each other, in our work, our community and the environment. Having the privilege of supporting groups like Taskforce Kiwi gives us the opportunity to live our values, help people who need it, and we couldn’t be happier to do it.
