What's Happening at TR Group

On 5 March, we had a blast participating in New Zealand’s biggest fun run, Auckland’s Round the Bays! The TR team turned up full of enthusiasm with their friends and families for a beautiful Sunday morning run, jog or walk.

TR Group Australia is pleased to announce the acquisition of Perth-based Axle Hire, effective on 1 December 2022.

In July 2022, Daimler Trucks hosted a study tour for our Managing Director, Andrew Carpenter, to review their Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) developments.

In July 2022, TR Group delivered HEB Construction's first Fuso eCanter traffic truck to Christchurch.

On Saturday, 8 October 2022, we’ll be at the Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds to support HB Trucking for Child Care Ride in a Truck Day 2022!

We engaged with 7 industry experts to produce a fatigue management course specifically designed for the transport and materials handling industry. Whether you’re a heavy vehicle driver, machine operator, supervisor or manager, there’s an obligation to understand fatigue, how it can be minimised, and what actions can be taken to reduce risk in the workplace.

When you lease or hire gear from us, it is backed by our Maintenance Team, who are on the job 24/7, working to maximise the uptime of your fleet.

Here at TR Group, we are in the early days of our journey to reduce our impact on the environment. We have some clear plans and goals to work through, but one of our first initiatives was water conservation on our vehicle washes – something visible to our team and customers that we hope will help change how people think about our natural resources and how we use them.

Our country is still facing challenges around the pandemic, and we at TR Group would like to share the latest news and some insight on how we can work together to make things easier for our industry.

TR Group has ordered 20 x Hyzon Hydrogen Fuel Cell Trucks for the New Zealand market. The 600HP, 58 tonne GCM tractor units will be powered by 100% green hydrogen, with the only emissions being water vapour. The 20 HFC trucks will remove approximately 5,000 tonnes of CO2 from our atmosphere every year and will be made available to customers by way of a Fully Maintained Operating Lease (FMOL), including fuel.

No matter what alert level we’re in, our truckies always keep New Zealand moving. Our ‘Ode to Truckies’ television commercial is an ever-relevant piece that shows our thankfulness to the truck drivers who keep risking their safety so the public can be safe in their bubbles during any alert level of the COVID-19 pandemic.
