We are looking for a new team member to join our Finance team as our Finance Manager – NZ.

The role of the Finance Manager – NZ:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will lead two direct reports and is responsible for delivering the Financial Reporting for TR Group’s NZ Operations. It is perfect for someone who is a great communicator, with strong technical accounting skills and a good knowledge of Corporate Tax.

With TR’s continued growth, this role will keep you on your toes with new challenges and opportunities, however with a team that currently has 6 CA’s, you will be well supported in your journey.

Specific responsibilities for the job are;

Lead a sub-team with two direct reports;

  • Create a positive work environment
  • Support and encourage personal and professional development
  • Annual performance appraisals

Lead monthly Financial Reporting for TR’s NZ operations, including;

  • Various Month end journals (Prepayments, Accruals, Funding)
  • Maintaining the Accounting & Tax Fixed Asset Registers
  • Monthly tax calculations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Updating management reports

Support with the delivery of Statutory reporting, including;

  • Key contact for the annual audit of NZ’s operations
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with producing the Annual Financial Statements
  • Completing and managing several Statistics NZ returns

Manage the Tax requirements for TR’s NZ operations, including;

  • Review of monthly GST returns
  • Preparation of annual income tax return
  • Preparation of quarterly FBT returns

Support the business with understanding future profitability, including;

  • Leading the build of the Annual budget for TR’s NZ operations
  • Providing insight into the monthly consolidated forecast
  • Supporting the CFO and Group Financial Controller with 5-year modelling

As well as having the skills for the job, you just can’t beat a good attitude.
