Financial Accountant

We are looking for a new team member to join our Finance team as our Financial Accountant.

The role of the Financial Accountant:

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the roles main responsibility is business partnering the Driver Training business’s, managing the securitisation (PPSR) process, performing various month end tasks for the Group and supporting the wider Finance Team where required.

This role also has a strong focus on improving our reporting, systems, and processes.

Specifically you would be diving into;

Business Partnering our Driver Training Business, including;

  • Day to day accounting and reporting for TR Driver Training & DT Driver Training
  • Annual Budgeting
  • Bi-annual statutory accounts
  • Insights and Analysis

Managing our Fleet securitisation processes, including:

  • Registering financing statements over our vehicles
  • Amending / removing financing statements
  • Responding to queries from customers and financiers
  • Resolving issues including performing root course analysis and putting in place process improvements

Support TR Group month end close, by:

  • Opening & closing financial periods each month
  • Reviewing and processing any transactions stuck in our D365 or Optimus systems
  • Reconciling - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sundry Debtors and Intercompany

Other business support

  • Support the People, Care and Development team with understanding their monthly overheads
  • Work with our build team to maintain TR’s capital commitments register
  • Reconcile our monthly payment back to our Supplier reconciliations
  • Reconcile & settle our E-road (DD) account

Be a positive influence to those around them, always looking for a win/win where we can. Someone who is self-motivated with the energy and outlook to to be autonomous in their job. You enjoy communicating - communicating with others is the butter to the bread so to speak. This role demands a high level of accuracy - you are dealing with money after all.
